Customer called us out to help assist them with a mainline sewer backup that was affecting the entire house. Upon arrival, the technician performed his own investigation and found that the information received was in fact correct. Using a sewer push camera, the technician was able to view and partially clear the mainline of soft stoppages at 7 different root intrusion locations withing the mainline. Once the mainline was free of backed up sewage, the technician was able to clearly see the locations of the root intrusions within the clay pipe material as the homeowners mainline headed toward the street (city main tie-in). After approval, the technician used a hydro jetter to effectively clear and clean the clay section of mainline of the multiple root intrusions. The line was then viewed with a sewer push camera to ensure proper service was performed.
