Clogged Shower and Mainline Drain in San Marcos, CA

Customer called in explaining that her shower had black “sludge” coming up from the drains and the toilets would not flush properly. Upon arrival, the technician recommended a hydro jetting service for a 2″ common branch line for the back-to-back bathrooms in the home. After clearing the line of heavy sludge and debris, the 2″ common line was properly flowing once more. However, the toilets were still draining very slow. Our technician performed another investigation with a camera in the mainline sewer pipe and found a separate blockage from the 2″ common drain line. After approval, the technician performed a hydro jetting service to the mainline in order to efficiently clear and clean the mainline sewer. Once cleared, the mainline was viewed with a camera and a water test was performed to ensure proper flow was restored.
