Roots in Laundry Drain Line in Lake Murray, CA

Customer called us out to help assist with a laundry line that suddenly backed up and was not draining. Upon arrival, the technician found a clean out access point for this specific branch drain line servicing the laundry line. When the technician opened this access point, roots were visibly growing out of the drain line. Utilizing a cable snake, the technician was able to rip out the roots and clear the drain line of this blockage. A water test was performed to ensure the flow was restored. The technician then recommended to have our estimator come out for a free estimate for long term repairs due to the cast iron being deemed “failed” because of the holes where the roots penetrated.
